The ultra-luxury Mandarin Oriental is coming soon to Hawaii on the corner of Kapiolani Blvd and Atkinson Drive. Offering 99 luxury residences and 125 hotel guest rooms, the design team assembled to develop the upcoming 38-story tower is some of the best of the best. The water features? Designed by the same designer of the famed Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. Milan-based Molteni&C and Dada, hailed as the "Lamborghini of kitchen design". The interior designer? Dianna Wong, who has worked with Hermes, Caesars and The Beverly Hills Hotel. Restaurants? Two restaurants, each with respective Michelin stars. Spa? Over 20,000 square feet of 5-star pampering, the largest in all of Oahu.
The Mandarin Oriental will no doubt outdo the luxury amenities of other nearby luxury condo-hotel towers like Trump Waikiki and the Ritz-Carlton.
Ownership of one of the coveted 99 residences will be anything but ordinary when associated with a brand like the Mandarin Oriental. Setting a new standard in Honolulu for luxury, all kitchens will be designed by Milan-based Molteni&C and Dada, known for their high standards and hailed as "the Lamborghini of kitchen design". Each kitchen will feature best-in-class appliances: Gaggenau gas cooktop, combi-steam oven, single oven, microwave drawer, dishwasher, and under-counter wine cooler, Blanco sink and faucet, and Sub-Zero refrigerator. For the Penthouse residences, there is a built-in espresso machine. As for the bathroom? They'll have Dornbracht fixtures, polished black marble sinks, leathered white marble walls, limestone flooring, Claybrook stone baths, and Toto washlets. These are the details that combined in totality, make something like the Mandarin Oriental residences like none other in Hawaii.
Thinking of buying and turning it into a vacation rental? Or adding it to the Mandarin Oriental hotel pool? That may be possible somewhere else, but not possible for these Mandarin Oriental residence units. Make no mistake, the Mandarin Oriental is believed to become the most exclusive residence in the area.
